Introducing Atelier 43
ATELIER 43 has been around for over 10 years.
After 5 years of experience in my shop in Malmedy, I chose to work exclusively in my workshop, Walk, a small village in the commune of Waimes.
I therefore work to order, whether for floral decoration for events of all kinds, weddings, partnerships with the hospitality industry, floral decoration for professional venues, or even "land art" in schools.
I also create plant frames that bring the breath and oxygen of nature into your living space...
I also offer floral art workshops. It's a moment suspended in time where problems disappear and during which all attention is focused on creation.
What I also like about this job is the idea of working by project. Each contract is a new adventure, a challenge.
Meeting and exchanging with clients, understanding their aspirations or ideas and getting as close as possible to them, that is the whole point of it.
Each request leads to research in terms of flower varieties, colors, textures and style, all to meet their needs. very specific request.
I like to bring balance, aesthetics, and harmony to my creations.
Working with flowers is almost therapeutic. It's a balm for the heart, sunshine for the thoughts, and sweetness for the soul...
German artist Sandra Ganser, originally from Aachen, transforms two rooms of the medieval castle into poetic and fantastical natural worlds. Through delicate installations composed of dried flowers, herbs, and foraged elements, she creates spaces conducive to contemplation, wonder—and dreaming.
In the fairytale tower of the Salamander, a shower of flowers gently falls from the ceiling. The installation invites visitors to immerse yourself in a meditative and enchanted atmosphere
In another room, floral flying objects and small planets of flowers and grasses float in the air—as if suspended between heaven and earth.
Everything that can be discovered in his works has grown in meadows, forests, fields, or among stones.
"I collect what others ignore or throw away. I carefully dry each plant before it becomes a work of art. My art is discreet, delicate—and yet powerful. I use no glue, no plastic, no artificial things. Everything must be able to breathe and transform," explains Ganser.
For over eight years, she has worked exclusively with dried plants. For her, sustainability is not a concept, but a stance lived daily. Her sensitive and sensual installations honor the richness of life, entering into a dialogue with places, stories, and beings— They touch, connect, and harmonize the space and those within it.
SANDRA GANSERSandra Ganser stands at the crossroads of art, nature, and design. Her works, created from local natural materials, invite us to rediscover the wildness, sensuality, and diversity of the plant world. Soft, powerful, and constantly transforming, they offer a subtle counterpoint to uniformity and the growing technological advancement of our times.
A fundamental aspect of her approach is the deep connection with place: each work is born in dialogue with the space in which it is conceived—and comes fully to life there.
Artistic JourneyBorn in 1977 and raised on a farm, Sandra Ganser worked for a long time as a marketing expert, designing immersive experiences around the essence of brands. For the past eight years, she has devoted herself entirely to artistic creation with natural materials—particularly inspired by British artist Rebecca Louise Law.
Patricia Mathie, Côté Végétal
Trained as a florist and landscaper, I have explored the many facets of plants throughout my professional career. I was lucky enough to work for major florists in Liège and Cannes, and back in Belgium, I opened my own boutique, "Bout d'Jardin," with very rustic arrangements. One morning, the phone rang and I was offered the position of floral art teacher at The Horticultural Institute...25 years of enriching experience...
Today, I am a certified artisan in Malmedy and I have chosen to devote myself to artistic, unique, and personalized creations using preserved plants. From custom wall designs to wedding decorations, I love taking on challenges and creating personalized projects with you. Each request is a new adventure where creativity and technical expertise combine. Slightly crazy ideas that spark the imagination and make your dreams come true boost my creativity. Welcome to my plant world where nature becomes sustainable and poetic. Let yourself be surprised!
